What does adding a varnish to a job achieve?
Used correctly, varnishes can take print jobs to the next level. Colours appear more vibrant, and the printed piece gains added durability and smudge resistance. Gloss and matte varnishes have different effects, and can be combined for an extra "wow" factor. Traditionally, adding varnishes to jobs requires extra passes through the press, which are expensive and time consuming. That’s not the case with our UV technology. In one pass through the press, we can achieve spectacular special UV effects, and incredible contrast between gloss and matte varnishes—without the added expense and risk of running your job through the press multiple times.
